Sowing the ‘SEED’ for Sustainable Earning
Our philosophy on “SHARING IS CARING” & the initiative of “#WeHelpOthers” is extended towards our People, Partners & Planet.
In this context, we have created a sustainable CSR initiative for the local village women near Ankleshwar. This initiative; “SEED”; SKILL ENHANCEMENT for EMPOWERING DEVELOPMENT, is the first skill development center for local village women to learn tailoring skills. Our NGO Partner Kutch Nav Nirman Abhiyan has been entrusted to train these women and facilitate providing sustainable earning measures for each of them. The target for the first year is to impact at least 150 women’s livelihoods positively.
On September 27th 2022, the formal inauguration of ‘SEED’ was initiated with 40 women participating. This course consists of three months of basic training with an additional month of advanced training, to hone in on these skills and further develop them. The nomination for the second batch of these women is already almost filled, putting us on track to meet our goal of impacting 150 women’s lives! It was a great moment of satisfaction and happiness when the first group of women received their first tailoring order of Ten Thousand Rupees.
Ashwani Sood along with Karna Mistry took the lead in sowing this seed and the entire Zentiva Management Team, Ankleshwar Management Team, and the HR Team have significantly contributed to this initiative. It was indeed a pleasure to have Ines Windisch and Angela Posdarascu for the event virtually who also interacted with the trainees.
Our ambition is to make Zentiva a great place to work and ensure a healthy, sustainable approach in everything that we do.
